What is for Dinner

Through this work I concentrated the imagery to represent single use plastic items that take up space in our oceans. The hopes for these ceramic plates was to demonstrate to the viewer that although we think these items are being disposed of after they are used, they in fact go right back into the food chain causing animals and humans to consume micro plastics. The floral decoration around the plate is to emphases the single use plastic concept further and take the traditional design used on most paper plates and incorporate it into the ceramic plate.
